This policy explains how Klines Metal Works ("KMW," "we") handles information collected through klinesmetalworks.com. It is posted under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
What we collect
- Quote requests (form or the Lenny chat): name, company, email, phone, part details, material, quantity, need-by date, and any files you upload (drawings, models, photos).
- Lenny chat (text or voice): what you type or say. In this version Lenny runs in your browser and nothing is sent to us until you submit the quote form. If you use voice input, your browser may send the audio to its own speech service (for example Google in Chrome) to turn it into text; we never receive the audio.
- Technical data: our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and basic request logs to deliver the site and block abuse. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person.
Why we use it
Only to answer your request, quote and make your parts, and contact you about that work.
Who sees it
KMW staff and the service providers that run the site and deliver email (Cloudflare and our email delivery provider), only to provide those services. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not share your files outside KMW. We're glad to sign your NDA.
Export-controlled data
Please do not upload ITAR- or EAR-controlled technical data. If your part is export-controlled, email us first.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and files are kept as long as needed to quote, make and support your parts, and for normal business records. Ask us any time to delete a request that didn't become an order.
Cookies and analytics
We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie needed for spam protection. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we'll list it here.
Do Not Track
We don't track visitors across other sites, so we treat all visitors the same whether or not a Do Not Track signal is sent.
Sending an RFQ does not sign you up for anything. We send only replies to your request and one automatic confirmation. No newsletters without your opt-in.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you sent us, email us or write to the address below. California residents may also request this information under state law.
Children
This site is for business customers and isn't directed to children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
